Thanks to Medtronic - Proud Grand Sponsor of Bollywood H2O
Bollywood films are known for pop music and exuberant dance scenes featuring scores of dancers dressed in dazzling Indian costumes. This year's Bollywood gala will capture this lively atmosphere with exotic décor and Bollywood-style entertainment.
Dress in your finest Indian attire or come as you are and join us for an unforgettable afternoon of gourmet Indian cuisine, and breathtaking entertainment. This family focused affair takes place in the ACC facility of Cardinal Newman High School with Sonoma County's own premier chef's from Pamposh Restaurant showing off their culinary talents. Killer Baking Company will top things off with the introduction of Chai Ice Cream!
Best of all, the event raises thousands of dollars to bring safe, clean drinking water to rural villages and communities in India. It's this town's event to see and the place to be seen!
Henna and threading techniques expertly applied by the artists of Bollywood Day Spa.
Guests will place their bids on a wide array of silent auction items including luxurious getaways, outdoor adventures, Indian crafts and textiles. Incredible art from local artists and artists worldwide. Jewelry, and some of the finest wines in the Sonoma and Napa Valleys.
The afternoon features traditional Indian Sitar music with Peter Van Gelder, and Mark Gerhard on the Tabla.
Following lunch and the conclusion of the silent auction (food service to end at 1:30), we will be taken on a journey of village life in India by the extraordinary Sonoma County teenager, Yasmine Eichbaum, and take part in the message of Wells for Life Founder and President, Michael Viser, and his own life changing experience serving some of the worlds poorest people.
Then the afternoon kicks into high energy as our Bollywood dancers take the floor, bringing the party up to the next level as they entertain us with their spectacular talents and teach us all the famous moves of the Jai Ho dance! (as seen in Slumdog Millionaire)
Children are encouraged to join in every aspect of the event or spend time in the Indian Village creating Indian inspired handicrafts and bracelets of their very own as well as one to share with another child in an Indian orphanage.
In keeping with our tradition of "Kids Helping Kids Across the Globe", the majority of your needs will be met by philanthropic teens from throughout Sonoma County area High Schools.
100% of all funds raised go to Wells for Life, bringing clean drinking water to some of India's poorest rural villages. Last year Sonoma County kids helped bring ten clean water bore wells to the villages throughout Trichy and Andhra Pradesh, India.
